GAM-MN launched its first ever community census on January 7th, 2022.  The project was previously approved by the General Assembly on March 31, 2018. The census aims to collect basic demographic information about Gambians currently residing in the State of Minnesota. The data collected through the census will be aggregated and used for designing and planning projects as well as mobilizing resources for the community. One of the limitations of the survey was that some respondents did not report all people linked to their households. Efforts were made through personal community connections to try to fill in the gaps but this was not conclusive.
