What We Do
We aim to protect and preserve the heritage, culture, history, language, and strong family lifestyles of all of our members and families. As a Premier Resource for Gambians in Minnesota, we work towards meeting the needs of our community by connecting our members to organizations and resources.
Furthermore, we provide our community with the platform for inspiration, education and networking to promote and strengthen the welfare of all Gambians. Above all, we aim to address and find practical solutions to pressing issues impacting our community.
Our Story
The Gambian Association in Minnesota was created in 1984 as a social group and came into official establishment and recognition in 1994 as a non-profit organization.

Donate to Flood Victims Today
The Gambian Association in Minnesota, United States in partnership with the Household Disaster Resilience Project (HELP-Gambia) launched a community fundraising campaign for supporting Gambian households currently inundated/victimized by this year’s extreme, severe, and frequent flash-floods and windstorms. In view of these tragic events, we kindly need your immediate financial/material assistance to;Provide stationery (e.g. Books, Pens, Bags etc.) for school kids.
Provide medical assistance to those injured.
Provide building materials to victims whose houses are completed damaged.
