Education is one of the key priority areas that the Executive of the Association aims to support the community with. In line with the promotion of academic pursuits, the Association launched a public celebration of graduates in the community which started in January 2022 and is ongoing. The Association declared the need to recognize graduates in the community on May 13th and urged members to share information about graduates so that they can be celebrated. The following people were celebrated on the WhatsApp Platform: 

Fatou Kassama-Saidy who graduated with a Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management from Saint Mary’s University of MN. (January 2022)

Dr Nfamara Dampha who graduated in 2020 but had his convocation on May 7th 2022 – obtained a PHD in Climate Change and Natural Resource Economics. 

Fatoumata Touray High School and college graduate (North Hennepin Community College with Associate of Arts Degree). 

Kumba Jaiteh – Associate Degree in Nursing from North Hennepin Community College. 

Mariama Fofana – High School and college graduate (North Hennepin Community College with an Associate Degree in Liberal Arts). 

Muhammed Fatty – Associate Degree in Liberal Arts and Science from Anoka Ramsey Community College

Mariama Ceesay – Associate Degree in Liberal Arts from Riverland Community College. 

Ebrima Marong – Minnesota State University, Mankato with a MSc in Electrical Engineering
